CIMH Offers Free Suicide Prevention Training for Primary Care
August 9, 2019 - 10:30am to December 31, 2019 - 10:30am

The Center for Innovation in Mental Health (CIMH) is offering a free in-person training on suicide prevention and safer suicide care to primary care providers throughout the US. The evidence-based training includes aspects of the Zero Suicide approach.

The training focuses on the details of how to conduct evidence-based components of suicide care, specifically on:

  • Screening and assessment
  • Care management and referral processes

This training is made available by the CUNY Center for Innovation in Mental Health (CIMH). The hands-on material teaches primary care providers the actual skills to work with patients at risk for suicide and provides a set of resources to improve their work. CIMH will tailor the training length to fit an organization's needs, from 45 minutes to two hours.
