Foundations of Suicide Care with Youth and Families in Healthcare Settings
This free, interactive, hour-long training was developed by the child psychiatry division at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, with support from Four Pines Fund.
Designed for clinicians and other healthcare professionals, it covers patient-centered language, common myths related to suicide, and clinic processes for screening, risk assessment, and initial interventions such as lethal means counseling, safety planning, and role-play-based demonstrations of effective suicide care.
